He added that Ukrainian government officials and representatives of the President’s Office “work as a team”, and he himself has great respect for the work of diplomats and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“That’s why these are really just rumors from some deputies,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, People’s Deputies Oleksiy Goncharenko and Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that they were allegedly planning to appoint Sybiga’s first deputy Serhii Kyslytsa as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Instead, according to these deputies, Sybiga should head the Ukrainian embassy in Poland.

- Verkhovna Rada voted for appointment of Andrii Sybiga to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs instead of Dmytro Kuleba on September 5, 2024.
- Andrii Sybiga is a staff diplomat working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1997. From 2016 to 2021, he held the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey.
- He was the deputy head of the OPU since the end of May 2021, where was responsible for Bankova’s foreign policy. In July 2024, he was appointed first deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs instead of Mykola Tochytskyi.
