Previously, insiders declassified the key characteristics of the device, now a set of colors of its body has appeared on the Internet.
In addition to the classic black and white, the new product will be available in green and purple. 17 Ultra will be equipped with a metal case with flat edges and a “washer” of the camera block characteristic of the series.
At the same time, the official date of the device’s presentation became known. It will take place on December 25 in China, although usually Ultra-models are released in February. Moreover, the new product will go on sale for the global market almost immediately.
We will remind, according to the leaks, the smartphone will be equipped with a massive 6800 mAh battery. This is noticeably more than the Xiaomi 15 Ultra (6000 mAh), but less than the 17 Pro, which has a 7500 mAh battery. The power of wired charging will be 100 W.
The main trump card, as before in the Ultra series, will be the advanced camera system created together with Leica. It includes the world’s first 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens, designed to completely eliminate chromatic aberration. It will be joined by a 1-inch 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50X main sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.
The phone will also receive a flat 6.8-inch 2K LTPO display, abandoning the former curved panels, the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and fast LPDDR5X + UFS 4.1 memory. The device will compete with the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the upcoming Samsung S26 Ultra.
Previously, UNIAN wrote that Xiaomi began to raise the prices of its equipment: While it concerns tablets, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will most likely also become more expensive than its predecessor due to the crisis in the memory market.
