According to Football Italia, Dovbyk’s future in Roma remains uncertain. Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is not satisfied with the game of the Ukrainian, so the 28-year-old forward can leave Stadio Olimpico this January.
Italian publication Gazzetta reports that Roma sporting director Frederic Massara has already offered Dovbyk to Sunderland. The Black Cats signed another Roma player, Enzo Le Fe, last summer, and their director of football, Florent Ghisolfi, previously worked for Roma.

A possible transfer of Dovbyk to Everton is also being considered as part of a potential swap deal involving former Udinese striker Beto. However, the main goal of Roma remains the complete sale of the Ukrainian forward.
This season, Dovbyk played 14 matches in all competitions, scored two goals and provided two assists. The player’s contract runs until June 2029, and his market value is estimated at 25 million euros.
