According to the State Emergency Service, the rescuers evacuated the victims from the damaged locomotives and handed them over to emergency medical teams. After the shelling, sappers of the State Emergency Service inspected the territory for the presence of explosive objects. All fires caused by the attack have been extinguished.
Currently, restoration work is underway at the site. Emergency services units, representatives of all emergency services, “Ukrzaliznytsia”, as well as volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross are involved in the liquidation of the consequences.
The train derailed near Korosten as a result of the Shahed explosion.
It will be recalled that an 18-year-old girl was fatally injured by a train in Vinnytsia.
Also, the Przemyśl-Kyiv train was stopped in Kyiv Oblast to search for explosives.
