Details: CNN adds that Dar did not provide details on the circumstances of their dismissal.
According to the Christian Association of Nigeria, in November, armed bandits broke into St. Mary’s Catholic Private School and kidnapped a total of 303 children and 12 teachers. Among the victims were both boys and girls, some of whom were as young as 10 years old.
Less than 48 hours after the abduction, 50 students were able to escape and return to their families.
Earlier this month, the Nigerian government reported that security forces had rescued 100 kidnapped people.
Earlier in the post, Dar noted that 130 of the last detainees remained – a little less than previously thought.
CNN notes that it has turned to the Office of the President of Nigeria for clarification.
