“We welcome the fact that the Kremlin has publicly agreed to this approach. In the coming days, we will announce the best course of action,” the Elysee Palace said.

At the same time, the Office of the President of France emphasized that any discussions with Moscow will take place “in conditions of complete transparency” with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and European partners, and the goal remains the achievement of “strong and lasting peace” for Ukrainians.

We will remind: On December 19, French President Macron spoke in favor of finding ways for Europeans to “re-engage in dialogue with Russia – in a transparent manner and in cooperation with Ukraine.”

Later, the Kremlin said that Putin is ready to “conduct a dialogue” with French President Emmanuel Macron.
