At the same time, after the Russians captured the settlement, more than 50 Ukrainian civilians were forcibly deported to the territory of the Russian Federation. Most of them are older men and women, one of them is 89 years old. Almost all of them had previously refused to evacuate deep into the territory of Ukraine, Lykhovi emphasized.
The law enforcement officers are already investigating the forced deportation of civilians, and the Armed Forces consider it a violation of the Geneva Convention.
The military also calls on residents of the border areas to evacuate. At the same time, the Sumy authorities organized this process – more than 30,000 people have already been evacuated, almost 5,700 people (including 38 children) did not agree, the officer added.
We will remind: Previously, the mass media wrote that on the night of December 20, in the Krasnopil region of the Sumy region, Russian troops entered the border village of Grabovskoe, located directly on the border line.
