In October of this year, Tottenham have officially confirmed the return of Fabio Paratici as sporting director alongside Johan Lange. This decision became part of the reorganization of the management structure of the football division of the club.
Just two months after officially returning to the Premier League club, Paratici could return to his hometown, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Violets owner Rocco Commisso has long admired Paratici’s working methods and his ability to find young talent for relatively little money. Fiorentina needs a specialist capable of leading the club to a consistently high level of competition for the Champions League zone.
Paratici knows the Italian market better than anyone after years of successful dominance with Juventus. Paratici’s extensive network of agents and scouts will help the club compete with the giants for promising players.
For Spurs, Paratici’s departure marks the final transition to a new management model under current technical director Johan Lange. The club has already adapted its scouting network, but losing Fabio’s strategic advice could be a challenge during the winter transfer window.
It is expected that the official appointment to Fiorentina will take place in early January, which will allow Parici to immediately join the work on strengthening the Italian club.
