In a short comment, Dmitriev called the discussions with real estate magnate and now diplomat Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner “constructive”.

What preceded: The Kremlin confirmed media reports that a meeting with American representatives is being prepared to familiarize with the results of negotiations between the USA, Ukraine and Europe regarding the peace agreement.

- The Secretary of the NSDC, Rustem Umyerov, announced late in the evening on December 19 that the meeting of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation with the American and European partners had ended.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Portugal Luiz Montenegro on Saturday in Kyiv that the United States offered to hold “peace talks” together with representatives of Ukraine and Russia and, possibly, European states.
