As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs writes in a telegram, due to a Russian attack on a critical infrastructure object, the traffic on the highway “Odesa – Reni” has been stopped, so citizens and transport are temporarily not allowed to pass through some checkpoints.
The Moldovan side announced the temporary closure of Mayaki-Udobne-Palanka and Starokazache-Tudora checkpoints. According to Moldovan border guards, drones twice hit the bridge located outside the town of Mayaki-Udobne (Ukraine) – it is located on the Odesa-Reni route and provides a crossing over the Dniester River.
The Ukrainian authorities did not officially specify which bridge was struck and how many times. On December 18, OVA was informed about the attack of the Russian Federation on the car while it was moving on the bridge. A woman with three children was in the car. The mother died, the children were taken to the hospital.
Therefore, the customs service offers to use the checkpoints on the border with Moldova, located in the areas of activity of the Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi customs offices, to move across the state border.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends crossing the border through the checkpoints “Mamalyga – Kryva” and “Sokyryany – Oknytsia” for goods and “Bronnytsia-Ungur”, “Vashkivtsi – Grimenkeutsi”, “Rossoshany – Brichen”, “Kelmentsi – Larga” for passengers.
Earlier, Oleg Kiper, head of OVA, reported that during the night, Russian forces attacked a transport infrastructure object in the Odesa district – there is damage, and traffic on the Odesa-Reny highway is temporarily stopped in both directions.
Since the beginning of December, the forces of the Russian Federation have been attacking Odeshchya almost every day.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
