“Just as money is confiscated from drug dealers and weapons are seized from terrorists, Russia’s assets should be used to protect against Russian aggression and rebuild what was destroyed by Russian attacks. It is ethical. It is fair. And it is legitimate, which is confirmed by the assessments of numerous experts,” he claims.
At the same time, failure to make a decision, he believes, will have negative consequences for Europe itself.
“If there is no European solution now, then all the words about European solidarity, autonomy and Europe’s ability to protect global justice will have no meaning. If this is not done now, the Russians – and not only them – will feel that Europe can be defeated. Defeat is definitely not what Europeans need,” he explained.
Zelensky also noted that he knows about Russia’s attempts to intimidate EU member states. “But we should not be afraid of these threats – we should be afraid that Europe will be weak,” the president noted.
As reported, Zelensky also said in Brussels: if there is no money for Ukraine, Europe will have to pay in blood.
