The Ministry of Community Development launched the Transport Data Hub – a new analytical platform for working with data in the fields of transport, mobility and logistics.
This was announced by the Minister of Community Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, the launch of the platform means a fundamental change in approaches to the planning of the transport system. Kuleba noted that for a long time, routes, infrastructure solutions, border work and investments were formed without a full understanding of the real movements of people and goods.
The first Transport Data Hub products have already been presented in Ukraine. Among them is the dashboard of mobility of citizens abroad, which displays actual data on directions, intensity and changes in demand for transportation, as well as the dashboard of international bus routes with information on traffic routes, the load at checkpoints and the operation of the route network. A study of the economic effect of the reform of international bus transportation with specific indicators of the impact on the economy and the budget was presented separately.
The minister emphasized that these tools can already be used by central and local authorities, as well as carriers. They make it possible to adjust routes, plan infrastructure projects, assess the needs of communities and forecast the development of transportation based on real data.
Kuleba also reported that data on population mobility help to better build transport connections, especially in regions where the logic of people’s movement has changed due to the war. According to him, in 2026, the Ministry of Development plans to launch a dashboard for the mobility of citizens within the country.
The ministry notes that the Transport Data Hub will continue to scale: new data sources, analytical tools and products for various transport sectors will be integrated into the platform.
In the capital, new low-floor trams and buses purchased by KP “Kyivpastrans” have already entered the routes.
