The incident took place on the D1 highway in the direction of Bratislava.
“Due to adverse weather conditions, the bus left the road and overturned on its side. There were 10 passengers and two drivers in the bus, all of them citizens of Ukraine,” the ministry said.

The agency refers to the data of local law enforcement officers, according to which two female passengers were hospitalized with minor injuries. The other passengers did not need medical assistance and continued their journey by alternative transport. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the matter is under the control of the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovakia.
The police opened an investigation into the accident. The driver passed a blood alcohol test, which showed a negative result.
Earlier on December 16, Slovak media reported that a total of eight people were injured.
