Details: The EU’s chief diplomat said that this year the European Union provided Ukraine with 27 billion euros in military aid.

“Our priorities are increasing pressure on Moscow and providing greater support to Kyiv. The EU has provided Ukraine with 27 billion euros in military aid this year. We have fulfilled our promise to provide 2 million artillery shells to Ukraine. It is absolutely clear that now is not the time to slow down. We must do more to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and its position in negotiations while Russia refuses peace,” Kaya Kallas said.
We will remind that in September 2025, the head of EU diplomacy, Kaya Callas, announced that the countries of the European Union intend reserve 2 million artillery shells for Ukraine by October. Then Kallas reported that the states participating in the initiative had already found 80% of the ammunition of the promised amount.
And at the beginning of December, the chief diplomat of the EU expressed regret regarding the fact that the plan to provide Ukraine with 2 million ammunition in 2025 has not yet been implemented.
It also became known that the Czech Republic delivered to Ukraine 1.8 million units of large-caliber ammunition this year.
The President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel, in his turn, said that the Czechs have already started cooking supplies of ammunition to Ukraine for 2026.
