“We will… make a decision today regarding the Shadow Fleet ships. We have 40 additional ships and their manuals,” Kallas said.
She added that these actions are being taken “in order to deprive Russia of the means of financing this war.”
As “Evropeyska Pravda” reported, the European Union decided to introduce sanctions against “shadow fleet” vessels that transport Russian oil, separately from sanction packages.
It was previously reported that recently sanctioned tankers were attacked off the coast of Turkey. “UP” sources in the SBU said that this was a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan named these cases “alarming aggravation”.
On December 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey was summoned representatives of the embassies of Ukraine and Russia, to express concern over a series of attacks on Russian “shadow fleet” vessels in the Black Sea.
