Details: In total, Belarus transferred 114 civilians to Ukraine, among them five citizens of Ukraine, who were already reported earlier.
Literally: “As a result of previous agreements and effective negotiations with the Belarusian side, at the request and with the assistance of American partners and the work of the Coordination Staff on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, 114 civilians were transferred to Ukraine, among them Ukrainians who were detained on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.”
Details: Among the representatives of the Belarusian opposition who are now in Ukraine are the former presidential candidate Viktor Babariko and his associate Maria Kolesnikova, editor-in-chief of the TUT.by portal Marina Zolotova, Maria Aleksandrova.

What preceded: Oleksandr Lukashenka announced the release of only 123 political prisoners and noted that this happened “within the framework of agreements with the US president and at his request” in connection with the lifting of American sanctions.
On December 13, it became known that the USA is lifting sanctions on Belarusian potash.
On November 4, the US Treasury Department eased some sanctions against Belarus, lifting measures against the national airline and allowing operations related to Lukashenka’s plane.
