“Obviously, Real Madrid played with a lot more intensity than the opposition. This match was more important for them.

I was surprised that Manchester City built their game from the opponent. They looked static, not sharp. They failed to create dangerous areas for attacks, especially in the first half. I think that “Madrid” played a really solid match, defended the dangerous areas very well and compactly.

Manchester City did not deserve to win. Real played more sharply. After the second goal, Manchester City retreated into a very deep defense. And it showed Real’s obvious problem. They are strong in counter-attacks, but not so strong in breaking through low defensive blocks,” said Kroos.
