Housing under the “eOsel” program will become more affordable for military personnel.
According to this program, about 6,400 servicemen have already been able to purchase their own housing / photo ua.depositphotos.comThe government allowed servicemen mobilized during martial law to get preferential mortgages under “eOseli” at 3%. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko announced this in her Telegram channel.
“The government’s decision will allow the military, who have been mobilized, to issue a mortgage at 3% instead of 7%. In this way, we create equal opportunities – both for the mobilized and for those who serve under a contract,” Svyridenko said.
Also, the maximum area of housing that was purchased under the “eOselya” program was limited. From now on, the apartment must be no larger than 115.5 m². The area of the house cannot exceed 125.5 m².
According to the company “Ukrfinzhitlo”, during the period of the program, almost 22,000 Ukrainian families received their own home thanks to preferential mortgages for the total amount of UAH 37.5 billion. About 6,400 contract servicemen and veterans were able to purchase their own housing.
It should be noted that previously, contract military and law enforcement officers could take a home loan at 3% per annum. At the same time, basic conditions – 7% per annum – were in effect for mobilized servicemen. However, from now on they can also take a home loan at the rate of 3% per annum.
“eOselya” program – the main newsAs UNIAN wrote, in September, the compensation mechanism for internally displaced persons and residents of the frontline territories within the framework of this program began to operate. In this way, the resettled people will receive significant compensation for the purchase of housing. It provides for state compensation of 70% of the first mortgage payment, 70% of monthly payments during the first year of crediting, as well as up to 40,000 hryvnias for related expenses when issuing a mortgage.
Already in August, it became known that the YeOsel program will become free for some Ukrainians. Due to demographic problems, the program will expand opportunities for families with many children. Yes, with each child, the home loan rate will decrease, and families with three or more children will be able to get a free mortgage.
According to “OLX Real Estate” research, the number of apartments under “eOsel” credit has increased several times. In October 2024, there were 5.8 thousand such offers, and in October 2025, almost 17 thousand.
