Police: there was an explosion in Kyiv, there is a dead person beforehand

On December 11, an explosion occurred in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, the capital’s police reported.

“According to preliminary information, as a result of the detonation of an unknown device, one person died and another was injured,” the message reads.

Investigators, criminologists, explosives technicians and dog experts are working on the spot. The police add that all the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

The State Emergency Service and the city authorities have not yet commented on the event.

Earlier, the police of the Lviv region reported on the investigation at the site of a drone strike on a house in the village of Sokilnyky on the night of December 11. Investigators qualify the case under the article of attempted murder.
