According to the report, the suspect has the following procedural obligations: to appear before the detective, the prosecutor, the investigating judge, the court at each of their demands and summons, not to leave Ukraine without permission, to deposit her passport(s) for traveling abroad, and to wear an electronic means of control.
As Suspilne reports, the prosecutor asked the court to determine a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of more than UAH 10.5 million.
According to the prosecution, the accomplice of Anna Skorokhod met with the interested person and demanded to hand over 150,000 US dollars. The person reported that he was ready to transfer only 50,000 dollars, but later agreed to an advance of 125,000 dollars, but the interlocutors insisted on the full amount of 250,000 dollars.
Anna Skorokhod stated that she never took or demanded money. According to her, the full video of the investigation allegedly does not contain the evidence presented by the prosecutor, and there are no suspicions and sanctions for which she was allegedly supposed to be paid – the video is only a cut.
She denies her role as a “guarantor” in the conversations of other participants in the case.
The other day, the court chose a preventive measure for Skorokhod’s assistant in the form of a bail of 1.514 million hryvnias, as well as for an accomplice of the people’s deputy – detention with the possibility of making a bail in the amount of 4 million 542 thousand hryvnias.
On December 5, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced the suspicion of a people’s deputy who, according to law enforcement officers, was the head of a criminal group. According to the investigation, its participants offered a business representative for $250,000 to organize the imposition of sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on a competitor company. NABU stated that the suspects claimed that they had the opportunity to transfer funds for the adoption of sanctions decisions to officials of state authorities, in particular to members of the National Security Council.
In addition to the people’s deputy, her assistant and accomplice were charged under the article of the Criminal Code “Proposals, promises or granting of an illegal benefit to an official”.
Anna Skorokhod confirmed that on December 5, after searching her apartment, law enforcement officers handed her a suspect in a bribery case. However, according to Skorokhod, they “couldn’t substantiate it with anything”, and she was not arrested.
As the deputy stated, the money seized during the searches was not hers. She also accused NABU of “manipulation” and publication of “fake photos”.
In 2019, Anna Skorokhod was a member of the ruling Servant of the People faction, but was expelled from the faction due to voting contrary to the position of the Servant of the People.
