However, today it has been revealed that after just seven months the show has lost its prime lunchtime spot.
Fans are used to tuning into the 70 minute topical talk show from 12.30pm on weekdays.
However, Vanessa has now been moved to the early afternoon slot of 2pm until 3pm – she has also had 10 minutes shaved off her time.
Channel 5 have also revealed how the show will “revamped and viewer focused” when it returns in the New Year.
Vanessa has lost her plum spot to former Watchdog host Matthew Allwright, who’s getting his own show which will air 12.50pm until 2pm.
More Channel 5 daytime shake-ups include Storm Huntley getting a new co-host.
The TV star will now present her show with Alexis Conran from 11.30am until 12,45pm.
CRUNCH TALKS The Sun previously revealed that show bosses held crunch talks about what to do with Vanessa’s self-titled programme on the network in May – just two months after the first episode aired.
The 70-minute programme racks up just 50k viewers on average – falling desperately behind what Jeremy Vine attracts for his daytime show earlier in the scheduling.
Insiders claimed at the time that the show had been fighting for survival ever since – with staff told this month of an immediate end to extending contracts.
Our source added: “It’s been a real blow to everyone who has been working so hard to make the show a success.”
EXTENDED CHRISTMAS BREAK It comes as The Sun revealed in October how Vanessa’s show would be taking an extended break ahead of Christmas.
The show has currently been paused to make way for festive movies being aired.

Alexis Conran will now co-host with StormCredit: AlexLit – stock.adobe.com A Channel 5 spokesman confirmed Vanessa will return on January 5 as planned.
They added: “With our festive lineup of Christmas Movies filling the daytime schedule, The Vanessa show will be taking a planned pause.
“Vanessa remains an important and much-loved part of the 5 daytime line up and we’re thrilled to be bringing her back in 2026.
“We look forward to her return and to more conversations together next year.”
Vanessa first hosted her own show for ITV between 1994 and 1998 before it came to a halt amid a pay row.
A year later, she hosted a similar show, titled The Vanessa Show, for BBC One, but that was axed after one series.
In 2011, The Vanessa Show was revived for the first time by Channel 5 but was eventually pushed to a late afternoon slot amid poor ratings before being cancelled altogether.
