Antoniou Kosta emphasized that the meeting of the European Council will start with the Ukrainian issue, because recent events have only strengthened the need for prompt steps on the part of the EU.
At the October summit, the leaders already agreed to close Kyiv’s most urgent financial requests, but now they have to decide on the instruments and amounts of aid for the following years.
The President of the European Council separately noted that it is important not to allow a pause in support, so as not to weaken the position of Ukraine against the background of a protracted war.
