The Russians themselves understand the impasse in this direction of the development of armored vehicles.

They were made according to drawings that got into the Internet. The channel of the Center for the Analysis of Strategies and Technologies drew attention to the renders.

According to data from open sources, “Object 195” could boast of a so-called “carriage layout” with an unmanned turret, which houses the main 152-mm smoothbore gun 2A83 and the auxiliary 30-mm automatic gun 2A42.

The crew of up to three people could be accommodated in an isolated armored capsule in the bow of the hull, separated from the fuel tanks and ammunition.

In theory, the T-95 could receive multi-layered combined armor using active protection “Drozd-2” and dynamic protection of the new generation “Relic”.

The project itself was closed by the decision of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2008. An attempt to create a cheaper and simplified version of the tank called T-14 “Armata” (“Object 148”) also came to a dead end.

New Russian tanks – what is known Probably, the best evidence of the failure of “Armata” is the number of cars built. We will remind you that last year the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that Russia had produced only about 20 T-14 main battle tanks at that time.

However, the project may get a second wind.

As Western media reported this year, Moscow wants to save the T-14 and offers the Indians to purchase a license for it. The Russians believe that the T-14 will be the “ideal” successor to the Indian T-72 “Adjei”, which seems to be a more than debatable claim.
