Details: On December 8, the official opening of the vice-consulate of Ukraine in Rzeszów (Ryaszew), Poland took place, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga personally arrived at the ceremony.

The new vice consulate will become the sixth consular institution of Ukraine in Poland and will provide consular support to about 60,000 Ukrainians, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.
photo of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs The institution will provide a full range of consular services (like a regular consulate) for citizens of Ukraine who live within the consular district, which covers the territories of Ryashiv, Peremysky, Yaroslavl and Bieszczady counties.
The difference in the name of the new diplomatic institution is related to the process of accreditation by Poland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained to EvroPravda.
In his speech, Andrii Sybiga noted that the expansion of Ukraine’s diplomatic presence in Poland will strengthen support for Ukrainian citizens, promote cross-border cooperation and strengthen ties between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.
Also during the ceremony, the Minister presented the “Amber Heart” awards of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to the savior city of Rzeszów and the Voivode of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Tereza Kubas-Hul, for their role in supporting Ukrainians.
