Ukrainian Olga Shusta saved her cat on the ninth day after the Russian Shahed destroyed her house. The family searched for the animal for more than a week and tried to dig it out from under the rubble of the bedroom, where there was the most destruction.
The drone arrived on November 29, and the cat was found only on December 7.
“On the 9th day, we found our kitty alive! With a burnt mustache and fur, maybe with pneumonia, because she wheezes a lot, but she is alive,” Olga said.
According to the owner, the veterinarian examined the animal: it is slightly dehydrated and under stress, but no serious injuries or inflammations were found. “The wheezing was probably hysterical, now it’s gone. Lungs are clean. Only sedatives and condition control were prescribed,” the woman added.
In Threads, Olga also published a photo of a cat and a destroyed house. The family survived, but suffered from a drone strike. The Russians destroyed Shusta’s parents’ house and their car.
On the night of December 8, the Russian occupiers struck a nine-story residential building in the town of Okhtyrka, Sumy region, with drones.
In Chernihiv, an apartment building was damaged as a result of the fall of a Russian drone. As a result of the shelling, three people were injured.
