Due to the Russian shelling, there is significant damage to the energy infrastructure of the Kremenchug district, said the head of the regional military administration, Volodymyr Kogut.

According to him, in the cities of Kremenchuk and Horishna Plavni, the situation with electricity supply remains difficult and affects the stability of the supply of heat and water, part of the facilities were powered by generators.

Kogut notes that repair work began immediately after the attack and continues continuously.

In order not to create additional risks for the networks at the time of electricity supply, the head of the OVA urged to temporarily refrain from using electric heaters and other powerful devices immediately after the appearance of light – excessive load can cause additional accidents and complicate the work of specialists.

As reported in the State Emergency Service, after the attack of the Russian Federation, fires broke out at the objects of industrial and energy infrastructure, individual sources of combustion have already been localized and eliminated.

On the night of December 7, Russian troops launched a massive combined attack on Poltava Region using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. According to local authorities, several enterprises of the energy sector in the Kremenchuk district were under attack. Due to the attack, there are interruptions with heat and water supply in some areas of the community.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

According to the latest UN data, in Ukraine in 2025, the number of civilian deaths from long-range weapons increased by 26%, and the number of wounded – by 75%.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
