On the evening of December 6, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump’s special representative Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the US president, Jared Kushner. During the conversation, the issue of ending the war was discussed.

This was reported on the telegram channel of the leader of Ukraine.

“We paid attention to many aspects and quite quickly discussed the key things that can guarantee the end of the bloodshed and remove the threat of a third Russian invasion, as well as the threat of Russia not fulfilling its promises, as it has happened many times in the past. Ukraine is determined to work honestly with the American side in the future in order to really bring peace. We agreed on the next steps, the formats of the conversation with America. I thank President Trump for such an intensive approach to the negotiations,” Zelenskyi said.

We will remind that on December 4, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the President of the European Council, Antonio Koshta, regarding the upcoming meeting of the Ukrainian team with the American side.
