Details: Umyerov’s post states that “for two days, Special Peace Envoy Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner held a meeting with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Andriy Hnatov, focused on promoting a realistic and effective way to achieve a lasting and just peace in Ukraine.”

- The day before, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga, in a conversation with journalists in Brussels, confirmed that the Ukrainian delegation had received an invitation to the United States. The head of the Ukrainian foreign policy department also noted that Kyiv has not yet received detailed information about the content of the American-Russian talks that took place on Monday in the Kremlin. Sibiga emphasized that there were “objective reasons” for this.
- Earlier, the media reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyi could meet Witkoff and Kushner in Europe on Wednesday, but these plans were canceled.
- According to the results of negotiations with representatives of Donald Trump’s team, the aide of the Russian ruler, Yuriy Ushakov, said that a compromise version of the plan for ending the war in Ukraine has not yet been found.
- At the same time, intelligence data available to NATO do not indicate Vladimir Putin’s readiness to conclude a peace agreement. The Alliance is convinced that the Kremlin leader’s statements about Russia’s readiness to fight with European countries are a bluff.
