In the Kharkiv region, two men were killed as a result of a Russian drone hitting a truck, the regional police reported.

“On December 5, in the city of Izyum, during the reloading of firewood from the ZIL vehicle, the tractor was hit by an impact drone. The 52- and 67-year-old men who were next to the car died as a result of the attack of the UAV on the cab of the truck. A fire broke out at the place of impact,” the report said.

The police added that they are conducting an investigation under the article “war crimes”.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

According to the latest UN data, in Ukraine in 2025, the number of civilian deaths from long-range weapons increased by 26%, and the number of wounded – by 75%.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
