“Restoration work is ongoing at the damaged power facilities, power engineers are working to restore power supply,” the message states.
The agency indicates that in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, and (partly) Kirovohrad regions, emergency shutdowns are forcibly applied.
“Today, in all regions of Ukraine, from 00:00 to 23:59, hourly shutdown schedules and capacity limitation schedules are applied for industrial consumers and businesses,” the Ministry of Energy reminds.
Since the beginning of autumn, the Russian military has intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season. As a result of the attacks, emergency power outages occur. In Ukraine, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of Russian shelling, hourly blackout schedules and capacity limitation schedules are used for industrial consumers and businesses.
