What preceded:
- In 2019, Fedir Khristenko was elected a People’s Deputy from the “Opposition Platform – For Life” party for the electoral district in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region.
- After February 24, Khristenko did not publicly condemn Russian aggression. He left Ukraine on February 14, 2022. In September 2025, the SBU reported his detention.
- According to the case file, the parliamentarian was an agent of the FSB of the Russian Federation for a long time, in particular, as early as 2014, he participated in the organization of pro-Russian protests in Donetsk and continued subversive activities in the interests of Russia.
