The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) is studying non-public materials related to the so-called “Mindic tapes” to find out the possible involvement of its employees in the corruption schemes that appear in the recordings.
This was stated in an interview for ZN.UA by the head of the NAZK Viktor Pavluschyk.
He noted that after information about alleged bribes appeared in the Agency (“twenty for a reference”), an internal audit was immediately started. It should be completed by January 10.
“We checked the version that was voiced at the meeting of the temporary investigative commission, and it did not find its confirmation, we are further investigating a number of isolated versions. However, there are two different vectors. There is information with specific data about the persons mentioned on the tapes, and there are more abstract fragments that require a deeper analysis,” Pavluschyk explained the continuation of the check despite the previous conclusions.
The head of the NAKC noted that the institution wants to check all versions and establish the truth, and not just appoint the guilty party. In particular, a large amount of information is currently being studied, including possible references to NAZK employees.
