Wilder first responded to Usyk’s desire to fight him

The former super heavyweight world champion is waiting for an official offer from the Ukrainian boxer”, — write: sport.ua

Former world champion in super heavyweight Deontay Wilder (44–4–1, 43 KOs) reacted for the first time to the desire of Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs) to fight him:

“It will be surprising if that happens, because boxing is arranged like a diagram. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. It may seem that everything has worked out, and then everything falls like a hole. This cannot be believed until we sign the contract.

However, I am delighted with the thought of a possible match with Usyk. I need a chance to fight him. I have always said that I was never given opportunities for various reasons.

Just hearing Oleksandr talk about the fight with me means a lot to me. I appreciate it. And I would be grateful to get such an opportunity officially, so I look forward to what happens next.

Sooner or later, Usyk will retire, so he wants to fight all the best opponents that the era had to offer. And that’s exactly what I plan to do as well,” Wilder said.
