Cyprus Cup. Roman Bezus scored for the first time for Cypriot Anorthosis

Ukrainian midfielder Roman Bezus first scored a goal for Cypriot “Anorthosis” from Famagusta.

The midfielder distinguished himself in the match of the 1/16 finals of the Cyprus Cup against Karmiotissa. His well-timed strike in stoppage time sealed the victory for the team from Famagusta (3:1).

The first half was goalless, but after the break the game became lively. In the 53rd minute, Stefan Vukic put Anorthosis ahead, but the hosts managed to equalize thanks to Timoteus Pavlo’s goal in the 77th minute.

Everything was decided at the end of the match. In the 90th minute, Evagoras Charalambous again put the guests ahead, and in the 90th + 5th minute, Roman Bezus hit the spot, scoring his first goal for the club.

“Anorthosis” defeated “Karmiotissa” (3:1) and reached the 1/8 finals of the Cyprus Cup. Before this game, Bezus played 7 matches in the championship of Cyprus, without scoring any goals.
