Late in the evening of December 2 in Moscow, negotiations between American representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding the parameters of a possible peace agreement in the Russian-Ukrainian war ended. After this conversation, Putin’s assistant Yuriy Ushakov said that “so far no compromise option (peaceful settlement) has been found, but some American developments look more or less acceptable.”
Ushakov added that a meeting between Putin and US President Donald Trump is not planned. A possible meeting “will depend on the progress that can be achieved”, said the aide to the Russian president.
