“The head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, reported to the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, about the alleged breakthrough of Russian troops to Liman in the Donetsk region, but the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declared that this was a lie and emphasized that the city is on the defensive.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

In response, the commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, reported that units of the 60th and 63rd separate mechanized brigades repel about 40 enemy assaults on the approaches to the city every day and prevent Russian troops from breaking through the defenses and entering the Liman.
Literally: “Officially: the so-called “breakthrough” of the Russians in Lyman is a lie of the high command of the Russian army!”
Details: According to the corps, over the past month, small groups of Russian infantrymen tried to infiltrate the outskirts of the Liman at least ten times, but all these attempts were thwarted: the assault groups were either destroyed or their members were taken prisoner.
The military also released a video of a captured Russian soldier who “thanks” a Russian military commander for revealing their positions in Telegram – this allowed the Defense Forces to quickly identify the group, destroy part of it, and capture the soldier himself.
The commander of the 63rd Brigade, Colonel Pavlo Yurchuk, noted that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation reports to Putin about the non-existent successes:
“In four years, Gerasimov burned his army without taking full control of any Ukrainian region. Therefore, while our units are nipping in the bud any attempts by the Russian Federation to get closer to Liman, he is reporting to Putin about non-existent successes.”
The Third Army Corps emphasizes that the information about the alleged breakthrough of Russian troops in Liman is a fiction of the Russian command, and Ukrainian forces continue to maintain a line of defense on the occupied borders.
