Where Is the Original Cast of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Now?

Viewers who have kept up with Vanderpump Rules over the years haven’t had to go too far to find Kristen Doute, as she still calls Bravo home on The Valley. The new series began as a spinoff of Vanderpump Rules in 2024, riding off the wave of success the franchise saw post-Scandal. The Valley similarly starred one other OG on this list alongside Brittany Cartwright, who made her first appearance on the main show in season four.

Kristen was fired from Vanderpump Rules in 2020 after Faith Stowers, a former cast member, revealed that she alongside Stassi Schroeder called the police on her in 2018, attached to a crime Stowers did not engage in. Following their firing, the show went under a major cast exodus, leaving the series disheveled and nearly canceled.

Kristen has since returned to reality TV via The Valleyand got engaged to Luke Broderick (who stars on the show alongside her) in 2024. In June of this year, they welcomed their first daughter. Kristen and Luke, together, host the Balancing Act podcast, and she briefly ventured into competitive reality TV on The GOAT.

Katie Maloney is one of three Vanderpump Rules stars who remained on the show until Bravo decided to reboot it with season 12. Katie has done it all on reality TV — she got engaged, married and divorced to her ex-husband Tom Schwartz, who was present on season one but joined the cast in a full-time capacity during the third season. She also started her sandwich shop, Something About Her, alongside fellow former co-star and Love Island USA host Ariana Madix on the show.

Now, as her days on Vanderpump Rules have come to an end, Katie can be caught hosting the Disrespectfully podcast with season eight cast member Dayna Kathan. She is also now in a relationship with Sleeping With Sirens musician Nick Martin.

Tom Sandoval is another OG personality from the series that stayed on the show until its season 12 reboot. He was at the center of season 10’s headline-making scandal, which saw him cheating on his longtime partner Ariana Madix with their friend and co-star Rachel Leviss, who was formerly engaged to their fellow cast member James Kennedy.

Their affair simultaneously breathed new interest into Vanderpump Rules while subsequently destroying the show. It earned them an 11th season, although the turmoil among the cast led to Bravo deciding to ultimately restart the series with a new cast for season 12.

In the time since his Vanderpump Rules days, Sandoval has worked the competitive reality TV circuit. He appeared on season three of The Traitors; performed with his cover band on America’s Got Talent; went on The Masked Singer; Special Forces season two; and will be seen on the next season of House of Villains.

And he hasn’t entirely ruled out more reality TV work. At BravoCon 2025, he entertained the question of potentially joining The Valley for future installments, although he did not join the former Vanderpump stars Tom Schwartz and Lala Kent as they were announced as part of the season three cast at the same fan convention.

Schwartz & Sandy’s, the Los Angeles bar he opened alongside Schwartz on the show, also closed at the tailend of 2024. But he’s still a junior partner alongside Schwartz with Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd of their West Hollywood bar TomTom.

Stassi Schroeder is still in the reality TV space, having just returned to the genre this year in tandem with Lisa Vanderpump for season two of the restaurateur’s Hulu series Vanderpump Villa. She now calls the Disney-backed streamer home, as she’s currently working on her half-hour docu-comedy Stassi Says. The project is part of a new development deal she has with Hulu.

Extending her relationship with Hulu, Stassi was also recently tapped to host the season three reunion of the streamer’s hit series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The OG was fired from Vanderpump Rules following season eight after Faith Stowers, a former cast member, revealed that she and Kristen called the police on her in 2018, attached to a crime Stowers did not engage in. Stassi addressed the controversy in her 2022 book Off with My Headher second out of a trio of books she’s released. She’s also the host of the Stassi podcast, which has been quite the success.

Additionally in her time post-VPRStassi married Beau Clark, who appeared on the show in its final two seasons. They share two children together.

Scheana Shay is the third and final founder Vanderpump Rules cast member who appeared on the show from season one until its 11th season. She made cameo appearances on season two of The Valleyand has also been on The Masked Singer. Scheana hosts the Scheananigans podcast, and released her memoir My Good Side earlier this year.

On season 10 of Vanderpump, Scheana married her husband Brock Davies, and they share one daughter. While she is currently not attached to any Bravo-related programs, she was in attendance at BravoCon 2025 and has strong bonds with The Valley cast, hinting that her future with the network is still bright.

Jax Taylor was a cast member on the reality series through its eighth season. He, alongside his then-wife Brittany Cartwright, exited Vanderpump Rules together, but had their reality TV homecoming with the first season of The Valley. Just ahead of the premiere of season one in 2024, the two revealed they were separated, and Cartwright has since filed for divorce.

Season two of the Vanderpump spinoff chronicled challenges in their marriage, including an alleged domestic incident that included Jax flipping a coffee table when he was angry, which bruised Cartwright’s knee. Following a wave of backlash, he revealed that he was not returning for season three of The Valley to prioritize his “sobriety, my mental health and coparenting relationship,” he said in a statement at the time.
