Details: Vladimir Putin’s meeting with the US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner lasted almost 5 hours. Putin’s aide, who was also present at the meeting, said that the discussion was about “the substance of the American proposals, not the specific wording of the peace plan.”
Ushakov noted that Moscow received the 27-point document along with four additional documents. According to him, the Russian side has expressed a “critical and even negative attitude” to a number of proposals, although the Kremlin is “ready to agree” with some points.
According to Ushakov, “the territorial issue is the most important” for both Russians and Americans.
In addition, the meeting allegedly discussed “huge prospects for economic cooperation” between Russia and the United States.
Regarding the possibility of a personal meeting between Putin and Trump, Ushakov said that it is not currently planned.
“The possibility of a meeting between Putin and Trump will depend on what progress will be made on the way to settlement,” Putin’s aide said.
