Details: In the morning, Astra reported with reference to local residents that an explosion rang out in Kaspiysk against the backdrop of a drone attack.

It was noted that the Dagdiesel shipyard, which manufactures naval underwater weapons for the Russian fleet, is located not far from the place of the explosion.
Later, the head of Dagestan confirmed the information about the drone attack.
Melikov’s direct speech: “Today (December 1 – ed.), an attack by enemy drones was prevented in our republic. Aerial targets were shot down over the territory of the Caspian Sea. Operational services are working on the spot, all authorities are operating in the operational headquarters mode.”
Details: The head of the republic did not say anything about the consequences of the attack, but noted that the authorities are doing “everything necessary for the safety of citizens and objects.”
He also reminded that in Dagestan there is a ban on the publication of information “about terrorist attacks, drone strikes of the Armed Forces, the deployment of the forces of the Ministry of Defense and important infrastructure.”
Astra later published photos and videos from Kaspiysk and noted that the attack damaged windows and parked cars near a residential building 3.5 kilometers from the Dagdiesel defense plant.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that during the night the air defense system allegedly intercepted and destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones. At the same time, the agency did not report on downed UAVs over Dagestan.
It was noted that 4 drones were allegedly shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Novgorod, Rostov regions and the Krasnodar region, 3 over the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Leningrad region, 2 over the Voronezh region and 1 over the Volgograd, Kursk, Smolensk and Tula regions of the Russian Federation.
