A demonstration of new weapons took place on November 28 at the Kalma airfield on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Korean People’s Army Air Force. North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un inspected the Su-25 attack aircraft, on which new missiles were installed.

As “Military” writes, after analyzing the photo, the planes are equipped with two cruise missiles that visually resemble the Franco-British Storm Shadow. They also bear some resemblance to the German Taurus KEPD 350 cruise missile due to the exposed infrared sensor in the nose.

The planes are also equipped with missiles that are visually a copy of the British Brimstone missiles. Analysts note that they are placed on a launcher with three mounts – by analogy with the one on British Typhoon fighters.

North Korea is known to have promised to develop submarines capable of launching ballistic missiles and has conducted test launches of such missiles from underwater platforms.

North Korean state media also reported that the military recently tested a so-called hypersonic glider, which is armed with a boosted engine that can maneuver to avoid detection and attack by anti-missile systems. However, American intelligence doubts the veracity of these claims.
