Details: OP clarified that the president signed two relevant decrees.
“Within the package synchronized with the United States, Ukraine applied sanctions against 26 legal entities of Russia related to the energy sector. Among them is the Rosneft company, its enterprises, as well as companies that are part of the Lukoil group. The American sanctions hit those parts of the industry that provide about 55% of Russian oil production,” the OP said.
The second decree imposes sanctions against 36 individuals and 13 legal entities associated with the production, training and operation of Russian drones. Among them, in particular, are persons involved in the activities of the “Rubikon” criminal center, which tests new types of weapons and participates in hostilities against Ukraine.
In addition, sanctions were introduced:
- against Russian companies involved in the development and production of reconnaissance and attack UAVs, FPV drones and unmanned aerial systems,
- against the so-called Russian charitable foundations and voluntary movements that provide support to the Russian occupiers,
- against Russian mobile operators that provide “Shakhed” with SIM cards for navigation and control.
Zelenskyi also announced that he had identified the key priorities of the Ukrainian sanctions policy until the end of the year. In particular, it is about further synchronization of sanctions with partners, preparation of the 20th EU sanctions package, strengthening of restrictions against the shadow fleet, Russian military production, collaborators and propagandists.
