Pinho emphasized that the investigations are ongoing, and Brussels respects the work of the Ukrainian authorities, because these actions testify to their effectiveness.
Mercier noted that the fight against corruption is one of the key requirements on Ukraine’s path to joining the EU. According to him, the European Commission is closely monitoring the situation, as constant and effective anti-corruption efforts remain critically important.
He recalled that the issue of anti-corruption capacity was one of the central issues in this year’s EU enlargement report.
NABU and SAP conduct searches of the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak in the government quarter in the morning of November 28. The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, confirmed that the SAP and NABU searched his apartment.
It is known that on November 26 Umyerov testified to NABU as a witness in the “Mindych case”.
