Indeed, not so often, if not the first, then certainly the second person in the state is searched. But not everything is so simple. Most commentators will talk about the fact that only Yermak declared that there would be no concessions from the Russian Federation, and that’s where it all went. And they will look at how the pressure of the Americans regarding concessions from Zelenskyi and Yermak is taking place. But not everything is so simple.
Almost no one paid attention to the fact that in record time the case of Deputy Fedor Khristenko was transferred to the Pechersk Court. As I understand it, Bankova was preparing a counteroffensive against the anti-corruption authorities. Bankova recovered from the first blow, but I think that she intended to launch a counterattack, accusing the anti-corruptionists of working for Russia. And that the Kremlin’s ears are visible in Mindich’s case. And, as we can see, NABU and SAP were slightly ahead of Bankova.
No matter what anyone says, a search is still investigative action. Many people said that Mindich’s case is blowing up, but it is not so. The investigation is ongoing, according to people familiar with the matter. The publication of these records has been slowed down a little. It is, rather, PR support. And the search — after that, as a rule, you should wait for the announcement of suspicion. That is why, most likely, we are waiting for the next series. And this is the second most powerful blow to Zelensky, to his image and reputation around the world. It is very interesting how Ukraine’s partners will look at this.
In fact, this destroys the image of the state and state institutions — both in the eyes of Ukrainian voters and among partner countries. And it will be very difficult for Zelensky to pretend that it does not concern him, that it does not affect him. Well, be that as it may, until now, at this very time, he did it every day in his speeches. And I will be interested to see the reaction of European leaders, what will happen to the almost heroic image of Zelensky in the eyes of Europeans.
Well, the last thing. As I think, the fact that the investigation is ongoing does not reflect well on the morale of those at the front. When some in the country storm restaurants on Fridays, and others storm landings somewhere near Pokrovsky or Gulyaipol — this factor will be more powerful than the hostile IPSO. Mindich’s case will not have the best effect on the morale and motivation of our soldiers at the front. Therefore, we are waiting for what will happen.
