Track in sports Oleg Makarenko was born on June 5, 1974 in Buch, Kyiv region, and lived here, in the suburbs of the capital. Since childhood, Oleg loved football very much. Makarenko went through his whole life with the game.

In 2003, Oleg together with his brother Vyacheslav founded the Bucha-03 club in his hometown. The team participated in competitions of the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district, won the championship of the Buchansk community and was the champion of the first district league in 2011. Oleg not only took care of the club, but also played as a defender all the time.
“Bucha-03” Combat experience and death When the full-scale invasion began, Makarenko first stood up for the defense of his native city, which almost immediately found itself under occupation. All this time, he helped his compatriots, informed about what was happening around him, and took an active part in the de-occupation of Kyiv region.
Later, already in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg fought in hot spots on the northeastern and southeastern fronts.

On November 28, 2023, 49-year-old Oleg Makarenko and his brothers came under enemy fire near Bakhmut in Donetsk region. While trying to evacuate his comrades, he himself was mortally wounded.
The soldier was left with three daughters – Maria, Tatiana and Antonina.
Oleh Makarenko was buried on December 6, 2023 in Buch.
