Details: According to the case file, on November 13, around 5 p.m., a woman met a previously unknown man near a supermarket and gave him a package containing 140,000 US dollars, 2,260 euros and 5.7 kg of gold ingots.

The interlocutor “created the impression of a courier” who was supposed to deliver valuables to the Security Service of Ukraine. He called the victim code-password “1236”, which allegedly confirmed his participation in the seizure of her property by the special services, and also wrote down her mobile phone number. After taking the package, the man got into a car driven by his accomplice and disappeared from the scene.
The victim’s losses are estimated at 37.5 million hryvnias.
Three suspects were detained a few days later. The victim recognized the man who was a courier – he is tall, has a red beard and mustache.
The court imposed precautionary measures on the suspects — two were released from custody with the possibility of release on bail of 2.4 million and a half million hryvnias. Night house arrest was chosen for the third suspect.
