The Ukrainian and American delegations will continue negotiations on the US peace plan at the end of this week. Ukraine needs to develop and consolidate the results achieved in Geneva.
This was announced by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
Yermak emphasized that “it is important not to lose productivity and work quickly.” The key common goal with the partners “remains unchanged – to achieve a lasting and dignified peace for Ukraine as soon as possible.”
As in Geneva, preparations are being made for the most constructive conversation with the USA. This, according to Yermak, will help to achieve tangible progress in defining steps to end the war.
“Thank you to the American team for working without breaks. Peace should become a joint achievement,” he added.
We will remind, special envoy Steve Witkoff in October spent a phone conversation with Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov, during which he gave advice on how Russia could best present its proposals for a “peace deal” to Donald Trump, and how the Russian dictator could best flatter the US president.
Special Envoy of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff found himself at the center of a scandal after the leak of a recording of his conversation with Russian official Ushakov, in which he effectively disrupted the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
