The 20th package of EU sanctions does not include direct restrictions against Rosatom, but will include measures that are indirectly related to this organization.

This was announced by the President’s authorized representative for sanctions policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk during the briefing before the start of the Sanctions Summit, Ukrinform reports.

“We will not see Rosatom in the 20th package, but we will definitely see some things that are not directly related to Rosatom. This is the maximum we can squeeze out now,” Vlasyuk said, answering the question of the Ukrinform correspondent.

According to him, the subject of Rosatom remains on the agenda at the same time.

“We will continue to convince our partners that Rosatom is the same Lukoil, there is nothing wrong with sanctioning it, and this is right,” Vlasyuk emphasized.

Sanctions shape the resistance of the Russian budget to external shocks: economist Oleksiy Kush.

Also, the EU may adopt a new package of sanctions against Russia after the new year.
