A female person in the National Medical Center took someone else’s iPhone 11 and went to her home
The lady is accused of committing a crime. She stole a phone that someone else had forgotten at the National Medical Center a person, causing losses of 9 thousand hryvnias. This is stated in the decision of the Solomyan District Court of the city of Kyiv, published on October 29, 2025.
On July 30, 2024, a woman at the Administrative Services Center of the State Administration of Solomyanska District in the city of Kyiv approached the terminal, which was located near the ATM, and saw that the mobile phone “iPhone 11” was lying on the counter, which had been carelessly left by another citizen. She took the device, did not take steps to find the owner, and did not notify the security officer of the National Security Agency about the found item. Later, she left the scene of the crime. By her actions, she caused material damage in the amount of 9 thousand hryvnias.
At the court hearing, the defendant stated that she does not deny the actual circumstances of the committed criminal offense, fully admits her guilt in committing the crime charged against her, and sincerely repents. She fully confirmed the circumstances specified in the indictment, noted that she was on the right path, and now leads a decent lifestyle. She noted that she had nothing more to add.
What was the fine imposed by the court? The court found the woman guilty of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed a penalty of 5 years in prison. On the basis of Art. 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, she was released from serving the prescribed penalty with a probationary period of 1 year. On the basis of Art. 76 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine required her to: 1) appear from time to time for registration with the authorized body on probation; 2) inform the authorized probation authority about a change of residence, employment or education.
