Istanbul Basaksehir – Trabzonspor. Forecast, announcement for the match of the Turkish championship

On November 24, Basaksehir Fatih Terim will host a match of the 13th round of the Turkish Super League, in which Istanbul will meet Trabzonspor. The match will start at 19:00 Kyiv time.

In 2020, the team achieved its goal – it won the first championship title. But then it did not rise nearly so high. In the last four seasons, the finish alternated between the fourth and, as in the last season, the fifth position – in the spring, they were seriously behind not only the three usual Istanbul favorites, but also Samsunspor, who shot.

Now the start was worse than everyone was used to. It was not possible to enter the main round of the Conference League: after passing Black Sea and Viking, Craiova University conceded. And in the Super League of the country, until the end of October, there was only one victory. Then, however, they won consecutively against Antalyaspor and Kocaelispor. But in the last round, on the Henchlerbirliga field, there was a defeat again – 1:2.

Trabzonspor

The club is another recent champion. In 2022, it was possible to remind why it is considered the most successful Turkish football project outside of Istanbul. But then there were much more modest results. And last season, changing coaches, they finished with 51 points and in seventh position. On the other hand, it was possible to show progress in the spring, including due to the successful signing of Zubkov in January (but Sikan got lost here), and in the cup they only conceded to Galatasaray.

All in all, it is not surprising that Tekke retained his position. And, having received a number of newcomers, including Onuacha and Onan, it is possible to add sharply with him. Most of the matches have been won, already seven, with the only defeat – in September on the field of Fenerbahce. But in the final rounds, not only the match with the champion, Galatasaray, but also the reception of Alanyaspor ended in a draw – they quickly scored, but did not hold the advantage.
