In 2025, Poland reached a record volume of potato exports, sending more than 107,000 tons of products to foreign markets.

Almost half of this revenue was provided by Ukraine, which became the main buyer.
In the period from January to August, Poland exported 107.54 thousand tons of potatoes.
The biggest buyers:
- Ukraine – 57.11 thousand tons;
- Romania – 11.9 thousand tons;
- Moldova – 9.92 thousand tons;
- Belarus – 6.52 thousand tons;
- Germany – 5.63 thousand tons;
- Italy – 5.01 thousand tons;
- Slovakia – 2.78 thousand tons;
- Latvia – 2.4 thousand tons;
- Spain – 1.25 thousand tons;
- Great Britain – 820 tons.
Export revenue for this period amounted to 151.99 million zlotys (30.4 million euros), which significantly exceeds last year’s figures (110.04 million zlotys or 22.0 million euros). Almost half of the revenues were provided by the Ukrainian market – 73.94 million zlotys (14.8 million euros).
At the same time, the import of potatoes to Poland exceeds the export: in eight months, 171.69 thousand tons worth about 55.2 million euros were imported, the main supplier was Germany.
The Indian company Reliance Industries has announced that it will completely stop importing Russian oil from November 20, in compliance with international sanctions.
We will remind that the import of electricity to Ukraine in October 2025 increased by 2.5 times to 360.
Also, China blocks the import of Japanese seafood because of the escalation around Taiwan.
